Improving Transportation System Operations and Performance
Dr. Ramadan is a professionally-licensed Transportation Engineer and Researcher, with 17+ years of experience in transportation systems planning, design, analysis, operations, and management. His experience was developed through 19 consulting and 10 sponsored-research projects. Dr. Ramadan’s areas of expertise include traffic engineering, transportation planning, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and project management.
Currently, Dr. Ramadan serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the UAB Transportation Engineering and Development Laboratory, where he conducts applied-research serving the national need for Reliable, Efficient, and Resilient Transportation Systems. Specifically, he is employing his skills and expertise in transportation performance management and traffic simulation modelling to improve the reliability and efficiency of passenger travel and freight movement on the national highway system. In addition, Dr. Ramadan’s research supports the national strategic need for targeted investments aiming to improve the transportation experience of all travelers.
